Is the ‘Bonnie Blue effect’ ruining your love life? Half of UK men’s fascination with porn star has made them less satisfied in relationship, study claims

UK-based adult star Bonnie Blue, 25, allegedly slept with 1,057 men in 24 hours

The public fascination with Bonnie Blue is causing problems for people’s love lives, according to a new study – with men’s interest in the adult star reducing their relationship satisfaction in many cases.

She shot to fame in January this year, after allegedly sleeping with 1,057 men in just 12 hours.

Bonnie, 25, whose real name is Tia Billinger, took to social media to boast about the number – which beat the tally previously set by adult film actress Lisa Sparks, who had sex with 919 men in 24 hours in 2004.

The porn star, who enjoyed a middle-class upbringing in Nottingham and who is said to make around £600,000 a month on OnlyFans, went on to thank ‘all the barely legal, barely breathing and the husbands’ who took part.

According to the polling, while many British men are intrigued by Bonnie Blue, women are less enthusiastic.

The research, which saw 1,000 women being quizzed, found that two thirds of women (67 per cent) say they feel threatened by their partner’s fascination with Bonnie Blue.

Close to half (41 per cent) of the women polled said they had actually caught their partner watching Bonnie’s content – and for most, that discovery hasn’t gone down well.

Of those who’d caught their partners watching the content, 78 per cent revealed it had led to arguments, which suggests that men’s interest in Bonnie Blue is causing disputes in a notable number of relationships.

According to a significant percentage of the women polled (76 per cent), they feel ‘threatened’ by the adult star’s confidence and experience.

Meanwhile, 62 per cent worry that their partner is comparing them to Blue.

More than half (54 per cent) of the women who were surveyed said that were worried that their partner was fantasising about being with someone like Blue.

For 47 per cent of those polled, anxiety that they would never be able to match Blue’s adventurousness in the bedroom was an issue.

In a separate poll of 1,000 men, it emerged that a number of the adult star’s fans are aware of the tension their interest in her is causing.

Some 39 per cent of respondents admitted they’d lied about watching Bonnie’s content just to avoid an argument.

More concerning was that more than half of men polled (52 per cent) confessed that their fascination with Bonnie had left them feeling less satisfied in their current relationship.

For many women, this growing obsession feels like an impossible standard to live up to.

This is the case for 32-year-old Samantha*, 32, from Manchester.

She has caught her boyfriend watching Bonnie’s videos on multiple occasions – and it’s left her questioning everything.

Samantha said: ‘At first, I tried to brush it off, but then it kept happening.

‘It’s like she’s everywhere, and I started to wonder if I was ever enough for him.

‘She’s so confident and adventurous – and suddenly I felt like I had to be the same just to keep his attention. It’s exhausting, and it’s made me so insecure.’

According to Jessica Leoni, sex and relationships expert at IllicitEncounters.com, this tension is becoming more common in relationships as Bonnie Blue’s star continues to rise.

She said: ‘Bonnie represents the ultimate fantasy for many men – she’s confident, sexually liberated, and totally in control.

‘But for a lot of women, that fantasy starts to feel like competition.

‘When you’re constantly worried that your partner is comparing you to someone like Bonnie, it can take a real toll on your self-esteem and your connection as a couple.’

Leoni believes open communication is key when it comes to tackling these kinds of issues.

She said: ‘If Bonnie Blue is becoming a source of conflict in your relationship, it’s important to talk about it.

‘Be honest about your insecurities and set some boundaries if you need to. The more you keep quiet, the more resentment builds – and that’s when real damage happens.’
