The body of 29-year-old Karina Juárez H. was found in some overgrown land near the Los Pájaros neighborhood, near the Ruba subdivision, west of Veracruz City, prompting the presence of security forces and FGE personnel.

The investigating prosecutor’s office announced that they have a suspect in the case.
This happened this Thursday between five and seven in the morning, when the victim’s partner located her as she was leaving for work.
Apparently she left first to take the bus, the subject said.
Around 6 a.m., he called his cell phone, the ringtone sounded, but he received no answer.
It was at that moment that he decided to go to his workplace and was told that he never arrived.
The man decided to report the crime to the authorities, and then returned through the gap between the Ruba subdivision and the Colinas de los Pájaros neighborhood, or Las Casitas, noticing traces of drag that led him to his partner’s body.
With many neighbors already present, State Police officers arrived and cordoned off the area. Then, Ministerial Agents arrived and began their investigation.
As part of the investigation, the man was brought in to give a statement about what happened to the Prosecutor’s Office.
Forensic Services personnel and Ministerial Agents proceeded with the case proceedings, securing evidence and removing the body, which was then taken to the coroner’s office for the required autopsy.
Three of the deceased’s minor children were taken into custody by authorities; it was reported that the victim’s relatives are seeking to have them returned to them for safekeeping.
Hours later, the State Attorney General’s Office, through the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for the Investigation of Crimes of Violence Against the Family, Women, Girls and Boys, and Human Trafficking, reported that an investigation had been initiated into the discovery this morning of the lifeless body of victim KJH in the Colina de los Pájaros neighborhood of Veracruz.
“Since the incident became known, prosecutors, experts, and ministerial police have been on site carrying out the corresponding legal proceedings.
“It is also reported that members of the ministerial investigative police have arrested a person possibly linked to these events ,” the statement said.
